A Very Scary Witch Indeed
If you're currently hiding behind a cushion and shaking like a leaf, we wouldn't blame you. After all, this has to be one of the scariest Halloween costumes for cats we've ever seen! Just kidding. This little witch is all ready for the spooky season, but we don't think she'll be scaring too many of the trick-or-treaters that turn up on her doorstep. Although perhaps her plan is to kill her victims with a cuteness overload.
Beneath that adorable outfit must be some seriously tough murder mittens, and just look at those cute whiskers! We bet they have the power to slice a man into pieces.
This Is Corgberus
You've heard of Cerberus, the three-headed dog that guards the underworld, but have you ever heard of Corgberus? It may look cute, but it's all a ruse! This guy is terrifying and will rip anyone who tries to pass him into pieces. Well, that's what he's supposed to do anyway. Judging by the adorable look on this corgi's face, he wouldn't hurt a fly - or the fluffy plushies his owner attached to him for Halloween.
We have a feeling that this pet costume wasn't the corgi's idea, though. Looking at this guy's face, this Halloween costume for dogs was the work of his pawrents - and he couldn't get a word in edgeways.
Arrrrr, What a Champ
Those who have never had a pet before will never understand the hold they have over your heart. They become part of your family and part of your soul, and you do everything you can to make them happy. So, when this dog fought off cancer but sadly lost his leg as a result, his pawrents decided to put a smile back on his face - and they came up with the perfect Halloween costume for him.
What a champ, huh? This pet costume managed to turn their sad dog into the coolest three-legged pirate around. And we especially love Polly sitting on his shoulder, because everyone needs a buddy.
Chuck Phone Home
What we love about these pet Halloween costumes is the fact that you can easily make them at home. After all, this E.T. costume requires just five things - a human, a red hoodie, a bicycle, a crate, and an adorable pug named Chuck! Of course, you can replace the pug with the animal of your choice if you don't have this cutie pie available. And when you bring it all together, it's very effective.
We do have to question whether this E.T. will be phoning home, though. Wouldn't it be barking home instead? We're going to go with that. Yes, it's time to Chuck to bark home.
Shaken and Not Stirred
This dog looks how anyone would look when the thing you love most turns against you. And we're not talking about his human. Instead, we're talking about the tennis balls! This dog loves tennis balls more than life itself, and it seems as though its day went from bad to worse after its surgery. Not only did he have to wear the cone of shame, but he then had to watch his pawrents turn his favorite things into a Halloween costume for dogs.
We can't deny that this little guy looks cute, and that it's one of the most creative (yet simple) pet costumes we've ever seen. But Martini dog does not look amused.
Say Hello to Dogatello
If you ever find yourself in need of a pizza-loving, crime-fighting turtle-dog, then look no further! We'd like to introduce you all to Dogatello - and it's safe to say that we're impressed. While this might not be the scariest Halloween costume for dogs we've ever seen, it's certainly the most intense. And we don't know how many pieces of pizza Dogatello was bribed with in order to agree to wear that many clothes, but we bet it was a lot.
Most dogs won't even let you put a raincoat on them, so we have to give kudos some credit for putting up with all of those layers. But we guess it was worth it for the Halloween pizza.
Small but Very Mighty
You probably don't need us to tell you that most small dogs suffer from small dog syndrome. You know what we mean, right? They make up for being so tiny by being barking at every other dog around them and pretending they're big and strong? Well, it seems as though this dog decided to finally dress up how the world sees it vs how it feels on the inside for Halloween.
On the left you have how the world sees it, small and very angelic! But on the right you have how it feels on the inside. He's the devil, and he won't let anyone cross his path!
Kitty Ain't Afraid of No Ghosts
Hands up if you'd watch this remake? We hate to say it, but the last Ghostbuster remake fell a little short of what we were hoping for, so maybe an all-cat remake is what the franchise needs. After all, cats and ghosts in the same movie would be remarkable. And it seems as though Fawkes is definitely ready for some ghost-busting action. He's even put on his special jacket and grown a goatee for the occasion.
We don't think any ghost would stand a chance with this guy lurking around. And we have to say that this is one of the best Halloween costumes for cats we've ever seen.
Dobby the House-Dog
Is anyone else confused? We thought House-Elves were part of a make-believe magical universe. But from the looks of it, these mythical creatures have become domesticated and evolved into House-Dogs! Yes, this doggy Halloween costume is everything Harry Potter fans could have ever dreamed of, and we love how something so simple can be so effective - especially on such a handsome pooch like this guy. He really does look like a House-Dog.
Let's hope that a helpful and considerate Muggle decided to give him a sock while Dobby was trick-or-treating with his masters and mistresses. Dogs love socks way more than candy, anyway.
Cutest Beanie Baby Ever
What we love about Halloween is that there are two kinds of pet pawrents. There are those who go all out and try to turn their animals into the spookiest creatures on the planet, while there are others who decide to play to their animals' strengths and create something simple yet effective. And we have to say that this pet costume is the latter! How can one dog be so adorable?
This is the cutest Beanie Baby we've ever seen, and we bet this doggo is pleased that it didn't have to wear any weird clothes or hats. Just a simple necklace did the trick.
Alright, Steve?
Pet Halloween costumes don't always have to be spooky, y'all. And this is the perfect example of that. This pooch obviously wasn't the kind of dog to scare little kids as he walked down the street, which is why his pawrents decided to go with an intellectual costume instead. Yes, this dog is no longer called Stanley. He's called Steve Jobs! And we must say that he's rocking that turtle neck.
Okay, so this guy is a little hairier than what we remember Steve Jobs to be, but we still admire his dedication to the cause. Where do you even find a MacBook that small?
What Big Ears You Have
Forget Little Red Riding Hood; we want to read the story about Little Red Riding Dog and her Big Bad Wolf Dog. After all, these doggy Halloween costumes are truly something special. They're so special, in fact, that they almost look like they were made to wear these outfits. And we bet it wasn't a difficult decision to work out which dog was going to take on which fairytale role.
Of course, these are amazing dog Halloween costumes. But more than anything, we love how these two are embracing their roles. They're acting their tiny little paws off, and we couldn't be prouder.
Grumpy Cat: Halloween Edition
There are two kinds of creatures in this world; there are those that love Halloween, and then there are those that hate Halloween. By a cruel and very funny twist of fate, these two creatures normally end up living under the same roof - and we'd like to present exhibit A right here. On the right, we have a happy hooman who loves Halloween and relishes any opportunity to dress up with their kitty.
On the left, however, we have a very grumpy cat who is even more grumpy when Halloween comes along. But the cat has actually reached a level of grumpiness that just makes him look super adorable.
To Infinity and Beyond
Have you ever seen anything cuter? No, we thought not. While it's always adorable when kids dress up as Toy Story characters, there's something so wholesome about these particular Halloween costumes for dogs. Each one of these pooches fits their character perfectly, and we're not going to lie and tell you that Woody isn't our favorite. Although it's safe to say that Jessie is definitely a close second - especially with that smile.
While we're impressed with the costumes and the set-up as a whole, we're actually impressed the most by the fact that the person behind the camera was able to get the dogs to sit still at the same time.
The Curse of the Ducky
Did you know that the chances of being killed by a duck are low but never zero? And this pet Halloween costume proves it. Peace is never an option for this duck, and it will choose violence on every occasion. Don't believe us? Just look at that knife! This duck may have been dressed up specifically for Halloween, but it looks a little too comfortable with a knife in its hands.
But we can't help but think that there's also something a little bit cute about this murderous duck. The duck-egg blue just isn't a color we associate with such horror.
Like Butter Wouldn't Melt
Although Halloween is a spooky holiday that requires the creepiest of costumes, it's also a wholesome holiday that allows you to spend time with the people and the animals closest to you. So, that's exactly why the pawrents of this foster pup decided to include Butter the dog into their Halloween celebrations. But with a name like Butter, there was only one costume that would make sense for this sweet pooch.
Yes, this costume proves that butter wouldn't melt for this guy! He looks as soft and as sweet as can be, and it's that kind of attention that makes foster families the greatest.
Wanna See Some Fangs?
Cats have always been a huge part of Halloween, with many humans dressing up as cats every single year. But what we love about this pet Halloween costume is that this kitty's owners decided to flip the switch. After all, when was the last time you saw a cat dress up as a human? Okay, that human might actually be a vampire, but we think this Halloween costume still counts.
Although these spooky fangs fit the vampire costume perfectly, we can't help but think that this kitty looks like he's part vampire/part cobra. They are some mean looking fangs, right?
It's Count Catula
You've heard of Count Dracula, but we're here to tell you that Count Catula is ten times worse. This guy is violent, he's terrifying, and he's absolutely hideous to look at! Of course, we're totally kidding. This is the cutest little vampire we've ever seen, and with eyes like that there's no way we could ever be scared of him. In fact, we want to give kudos to whoever bought this Halloween costume for cats - because it's absolutely adorable.
There is part of us that wonders whether those cute eyes are all part of the ruse, though. Does he lure you in with those big wide eyes and then unleash the terror within?
Star Trek? More Like Meow Trek
Hands up if you love Star Trek? If you've put your hands in the air, we can only assume that you've also put your fingers together in the Trekkie fashion - and we'd expect no less. Of course, we may be wrong here, but we also think the pawrent of this cat is also a huge fan of the franchise. And when it came to Halloween, they decided that their kitty would take up their role as Command Staff.
While we have to congratulate this person on creating such an amazing Halloween costume for their cat, we do have to question how they got this outfit on their kitty without being scratched to smithereens in the process.
Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble
Hedgehogs have never really been associated with Halloween, but who says that they can't have their moment to shine during this spooky season? Perhaps the main reason they've been left out of the lurch is that they always look so happy and cute - but in a world where you can be anything for Halloween, it's now the hedgehogs' moment in the spotlight. And this hedgehog has absolutely nailed it.
We don't think this little guy is the kind of wizard to brew up nasty potions, but we guess you should always be on your toes around magic. You never know what he could be up to.
What a Pretty Pawrrot
Anyone who has a cat will know that there are two kinds of cats in this world; there are the kind of cats that like their own personal space and very rarely interact with their humans, and then there are shoulder cats. We're going to go out on a limb here and and assume that this pretty pawrrot is a shoulder cat! Yes, this Halloween costume for cats is absolutely hilarious - especially as cats famously hate birds.
Nevertheless, we think this kitty makes a beautiful parrot, and we bet he didn't mind being put in a pet costume, either. He's in his rightful place on the shoulder, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
Watch Out for Daisy
If you were an adorable little corgi, what kind of potions would you cook up? While part of us thinks that this little pooch would just cook up a love potion, there's another part of us that thinks this could all be a ploy. Maybe Daisy isn't as sweet or innocent as she seems. Maybe she's plotting her revenge on all of the hoomans that stopped petting her after five minutes rather than thirty.
Either way, you better watch your back if you spot Daisy trotting down your street. You never know what these sneaky witches have lurking underneath their robes or in their cauldrons.
Guinea Pig or Moth?
Let's be honest; Halloween isn't the same without a pet costume thrown into the mix. Anyone who has a pet will know the excitement of getting your pets involved in your fun and games, and it seems as though the pawrents of this adorable guinea pig didn't want their little guy to feel left out while they celebrated the spooky holiday. So, they came up with a very creative costume for him.
If this isn't the cutest fuzzy moth you've ever seen, then we don't know what will be. From its little antennae to the beautiful foam wings, you can tell this was a DIY pet costume. But we love it.
Pickleball Masters
Did you know that these guys are kind of a big dill? Yes, if you want to feel scared on Halloween, just head down to where these guys play pickleball and you'll see true strength and determination in doggy form. And seeing them in their element will put the fear of God into you, as they're true masters of the sport. Just look at them, after all. They look like pure professionals.
The shades really complete this look, but we love the fact that the person behind the camera added all of the other little details. Let's hope they get sponsored by Evian.
It's Eddie Pugson
Unless you've been living under a rock for the last five years, you'll know that Stranger Things is kind of a big deal. And if Halloween isn't the time to take advantage of these big deals, then what is? Doug the Pug and his pawrents definitely got the memo this Halloween, as he decided to dress up as one of the best members of the Hellfire Club - wig and all.
What we love so much about this Halloween costume for dogs is the fact that, if you didn't know there was a pug under that hair, you wouldn't have believed it!
An Evil Bee Bunny
We don't know about you, but we're a little scared of this evil bee bunny. Just look at those eyes! Those are the eyes of a killer, and we bet this little guy will stop at nothing to sting you with his seemingly adorable little mittens. It's all a ruse, though, right? The exterior of this bee bunny might look cute, but that's all part of the devilish act he has up his sleeve.
Either that or this bunny just wasn't too impressed by the fact that his owners decided to buy a pet costume from the grocery store and shove him in it. That's probably more likely.
Boo!
Halloween wouldn't be complete without someone dressing up as a ghost, right? This spooky holiday needs to have someone dressed up with a white sheet over the top of them - and it just so happens that this is one of the cutest ghosties we've ever seen. From the happy smile poking out of the front to the adorable ears poking out the top, this ghoul might not be the scariest, but it still wins in our book.
Can we also just take a moment to appreciate the plush candy corn next to this Halloween corgi? The whole thing is just an overload of cute, so kudos to whoever took this photo.
A Lovely Little Vampire
When you think of vampires, you probably think of evil beings who want to suck your blood and then hang from the ceiling like a bat. But have you ever seen a vampire quite like this before? No, we thought not. This is one of the cutest pet Halloween costumes we've ever laid our eyes on, and that's mainly thanks to the cat! Sure, the costume is cute - but those eyes are even cuter.
This cat looks so calm and soft, which is why we're a little cautious at the same time. After all, it's wearing a vampire cape, so you never know what plots it could be scheming.
The Purrrrrfect Costume
In today's day and age, Halloween costumes look a little different. Sure, some people go down the scary and spooky route, but there are others who decide that dressing up in any costume fits the bill. And it seems as though this kitty went down the not-so-scary route. Of course, we can totally understand why. When you have a face like that, surely the only option is to dress up like a cute little flower?
This whole outfit is adorable, and we think this cat knows it, too. Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the fact that his name is Snax, too?
Powered by Sunlight
It seems as though a new breed of vampire has evolved, people. Long gone are the vampires who have to hide in the shadows and shy away from the sunlight, as now we have a new breed of vampire who thrive off the sun's beams! So, if you ever needed an excuse to stay in your bed with the drapes closed, then this is your excuse. These guys are lethal, after all.
Okay, we don't actually think this is a sun-powered cat vampire, but there's no doubt that this little guy looks pretty proud of himself in his vampire costume. How cute.
The Wizard Of Pawz
You've seen Judy Garland as Dorothy and you've seen the Cowardly Lion in all of his glory, but have you ever seen them quite like this before? Well, this isn't the Wizard of Oz - this is The Wizard of Pawz! We have to say that we absolutely love these Halloween costumes for dogs, too. And if we had to choose between them, we'd have to say that the Cowardly Lion is our favorite.
That's not to say that Dorothy doesn't look stunning in her gingham dress and pigtails. But there's something about the lion's tail that just puts a smile on our faces.
The Master Becomes the Student
Police dogs deserve a huge amount of credit. They work extremely hard all year round, so who can blame them for wanting to get involved in the Halloween activities? On this occasion, this K9 dog's handlers decided to let the master become the student for a little while. And while this guy's used to catching the criminals, he became a criminal for the night. Say hello to the K9 bank robber!
From the big bag of cash to the striped T-shirt and the chain collar, this dog really does look the part. And we'd love to give a special shout-out to the mask, which looks like it was made from an old sock!
A Very Reptilian Halloween
Let's be honest; reptiles are a little creepy. Lizards are especially strange, thanks to their cold-blooded nature and their ability to shed their skins. But while some people are scared of reptiles, it seems as though this lizard mom decided to do a backwards Halloween when she planned these costumes. As some people already found her lizard to be frightening, she decided to do the opposite and make her lizard look super friendly!
We don't know which look we love more; the Sheriff or the creepy crawly! But if we had to pick one, we think we'd have to go with the Sheriff.
A Naughty Fugitive
Anyone who has a dog will know that these animals are full of personality - and it's these little nuggets of personality that can make choosing a pet Halloween costume so much easier! In the case of this little sock stealer, his pawrents knew exactly what they had to dress him up as. And when they had it, they arrested him on the spot and put him in his prisoner uniform.
We have a feeling that there are probably many other pooches out there who should also be wearing this Halloween costume for dogs. So, let's hope there's more of them out there.
Hairy Pooper
Sure, Harry Potter is a magical franchise that's brought us a huge amount of joy over the years. But who wants joy on Halloween? We want to be scared out of our skin, and that's where Hairy Pooper and Draco Malfoy come into the mix. Of course, the Slytherin dog is already scary enough without having to have a pooch-inspired name - but this is the first time that a Gryffindor has given us the heebie-jeebies.
Who knew that such a simple dog costume could be so effective? Let's just hope that Hairy Pooper doesn't get too carried away with that wand and think it's a chew stick.
Totally Ear-Resistible
Do you ever think that rabbits just don't carrot all? Because we do. This guy could have been super spooky and scary for Halloween, but its pawrents decided to give this bunny a one-way ticket to cute town instead. Of course, we're not complaining too much. Looking at this picture puts a massive smile on our faces, and we love the subtle hint to Halloween with the pumpkin hat and pumpkin decoration.
All in all, this is one sweet bunny, and it seems pretty content with being dressed up for the special and spooky occasion. Maybe this guy is used to such shenanigans.
Just a Couple of Gamers
Everyone has their own way of celebrating Halloween. There are some people who head out onto the streets and knock on doors for candy, there are others who throw big Halloween bashes, and then there are those who prefer to stay in the comfort of their own homes. We can only assume that these two gamers are part of the latter category, as they decided to stay in and play Mario Kart.
They still got into the spirit of things, though. Their pawrents decided decided to dress them up for the occasion, which was pretty fitting considering they were playing Mario Kart. Princess Peach is so cute!
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice....
Whatever you do, don't say Beetlejuice one more time! You never know what's going to come out of the ground, but that doesn't stop some people from turning on the juice and seeing what shakes loose. Yes, this is one of the best Beetlejuice-inspired costumes we've ever seen, and who better to pull it off than a couple of sphinxes? These cats are naturals when it comes to Halloween, as they already look so spooky.
While we love these costumes, we do have to question how the cat on the right has eyeliner on. We bet the cat mom behind that decision regretted it when she was covered in scratches.
The Cat That Caught the Turkey
We're used to hearing about cats that catch the cream, but it seems as though a new breed of cat burglars come out of the woodwork during Halloween. Yes, say hello to the cat that stole the turkey - which is actually pretty impressive when you come to think about it. Turkeys aren't small creatures, after all, so that must have taken a strong cat to catch such an animal.
It seems as though this kitty was getting a bit fed up with doing time, though. So, it ripped off its hat and sign and decided to have a lay down instead.
So Nervous He Beed
Let's be honest; this pooch doesn't look too happy to be in this pet Halloween costume. In fact, he looks so nervous to be wearing such a costume that it looks as though he might have beed himself! But we guess it doesn't matter too much when you look that cute. Although we do hope that there was a hole in this outfit so that he could pee with ease.
This cute little dog bee certainly looks the part with his wings and his fluffy costume, and it seems as though his pawrents even went the extra mile to add some flowers into the mix.
