You've Got a Friend in Me
Despite the language barriers, some pets know just how to say thank you to a vet. In the case of this mixed-breed dog, he knew exactly how to express his gratitude for the vet's care. As we can see, it melted the heart of the vet as well. Having a vet who loves your animal makes the process of visiting the animal doctor much more pleasant, especially if your furbaby gets anxious in unfamiliar situations.
According to the owner who took this photo, this dog was simply leaning in to the medical professional to give him a heartfelt thank you.
Baby Fox Looks Like He Came Out of a Movie
If you're thinking that this fox looks too good be true, you're not the only one. The people in the vet clinic could hardly believe their eyes when they saw this cubs animated expression, believing it to have looked more like something created in CGI with special effects rather than a real fox. If you would have told us this was an AI image of a coyote, we would believe you.
Despite what it may seem, this is a real photo of a red fox cub. Who would have thought that fox babies could look so cartoonishly cute?
Pocket Full of Happiness
Some pet patients are so small that they can easily get lost, particularly when they're as tiny as this little kitty. It's no wonder, then, that the vet opted to keep him snugly tucked away in the pocket of his scrubs; after all, he's small enough to be carried around that way. This arrangement proves to be the perfect solution, as who wouldn't want such a cute face peeking out and looking back at them?
Working at a vet clinic certainly has its perks, from treating precious fur baby patients to taking adorable kodak moments like these that you wouldn't want to forget.
Most People Keep Office Supplies in Their Drawers - But Not This Vet
Not only is veterinary work tiring for the vets, it's also taxing for the patients. As we can see with this puppy, he couldn't wait to find a spot to take a good rest. However, it just so happened to be in the towel drawer instead of a dog bed or sofa. This pup may have odd preferences for sleeping places, but his cuteness more than makes up for it.
As the vet jokingly explained in a caption to this photo, "Most people keep office supplies in their desk. I keep a sleeping Pomeranian!"
Smile for the Camera
You don't have to be an experienced vet to enjoy the perks of working with animals. In the case of this vet intern, he was so delighted to make the acquaintance of such a smiley kitty that he just had to pick him up and take a selfie. Lucky for him, he was responsible for caring for this feline for an extended period while working in a vet clinic in Taiwan.
From the look of it, this vet intern has a bright future ahead of him, considering how happy his patient looks with the service!
A Lizard Straight Jacket for the Ones Who Like to Bite
Vets don't just attend to the needs of fluffy animals, as we can see in the photo. Lizards like to keep to themselves, so when they're being poked and prodded by a vet, they have a habit of trying to bite everyone around them. This lizard had to be taped to a hand towel when it came time for his x-rays. Whether he liked it or not, he wasn't leaving without a full-body scan.
No harm was done to the mischievous lizard, even if he didn't leave this vet's office in the best mood. Luckily for him, he still received the very best veterinary care.
German Shepherd Plus Golden Retriever Equals Cuteness Overload
Who would have thought that crossing a German Shepherd with a Golden Retriever would create such an adorable puppy? This furbaby doesn't even look real - he looks like a stuffed toy or something out of a Disney movie! From his big, tall ears to his inquisitive expression, he's simply too cute to be true. It's no wonder the vet couldn't help but record the moment this patient walked in; we would have done the very same.
It seems as though this pup has the facial structure and physical build of a German Shepherd but with the sunny coloring of a Golden Retriever.
A Very Stylish Baby Goat
We've all seen dogs and cats dressed in clothes before, although it may not be the most common sight. But how often in your life have you seen a baby goat dressed in clothes? This kid belonged to one of the vets at the clinic, who delighted her coworkers with this adorable surprise one day. Unsurprisingly, the other vets just couldn't get enough of baby Mathilda in her striped jumper.
Presumably, this goat wasn't wearing a jumper to look stylish, but because the weather demanded it. Still, it makes for the most adorable fashion moment.
A Gentle Giant
Not everyone is equipped to handle a massive dog like the one in the photo, but veterinarians are accustomed to caring for even the most towering household pets. Dealing with such sizable animals presents its challenges, particularly when the animal stands as tall as a person when it rises on its hind legs. However, this huge dog appears to be a big softie, as he's sweetly planting a kiss on the veterinarian's cheek.
In addition, the owner who took this picture captioned it saying that his dog successfully passed his yearly check-up at the vet's with flying colors. Hooray!
The Robin to This Vet's Batman
It must have been a good day at work for this vet when they were given this little kitten as a temporary assistant. While the furbaby may not have been especially helpful on the technical, we're sure they calmed the nerves of any anxious pet owners who might have had appointments scheduled for that day. In all seriousness, we can't get over the tiny kitten-sized medical attire – cuteness overload.
This is one of those photos that makes us wish we worked in a veterinary clinic. Who wouldn't want to play around with this adorable kitty?
Swapping Roles
This hilarious photo sees a German Shepherd and his vet swap places, so that the distinguished older dog is the one wearing the lab coat while the animal doctor dons the cone of shame. They've even swapped places in the clinic, so that Doctor Doggo is sitting at a desk while the vet sits beside him on the floor! We're not sure what exactly is going on, but at least everyone's smiling.
The german shepherd might not totally understand what's going on either, but he looks happy to have been promoted in his local vet clinic.
Someone's Special Brownie Got Eaten by Their Dog
It may be hard to believe, but the effects of a certain special brownie that this dog shouldn't have eaten seem to have had the same effect on him as it does on people. The person who posted the photo mentioned how this naughty critter accidentally ate something he shouldn't have, which is why he needed a visit to the vet's. Judging by this pup's face, he has no complaints.
At least the owners did the responsible thing and brought their dog in for a check-up, even if he does look very pleased with himself!
Not Your Every Day House Pet
Not every animal that walks through the clinic's doors is a typical house pet. When a vet's son and wife walked in to visit his mom at work, they were surprised to learn that she was caring for a very special patient - a lion cub! Much like a dog or cat, the cub was more concerned with playing with the toys on the premises than with socializing with anyone.
It's not everyday that vets get to treat a real wild animal, let alone an adorable lion cub that looks just like Simba from The Lion King.
He's Just Misunderstood
Despite what we have been brought up to believe about skunks, they can make wonderful house pets with the right amount of socialisation, care, and patience. As we can see, this vet was well aware of that, as he showed no fear of the signature odor they've become famous for. In reality, they only produce those smells when they feel threatened as a deterrent or a form of defense.
It's just as well that skunks make great household pets, as they are utterly adorable and sure to bring joy to any home that they inhabit.
Cuddles Are the Best Post-Op Medicine
It can be hard for a vet to resist climbing into the animal crate and taking an afternoon nap with their patient when they're as adorable as this dog. This pup was post-surgery and feeling a little sorry for himself when his caregiver decided to join him for a snooze. They jokingly captioned the photo, 'We really take post-op care seriously at my job. Cuddles are the best medicine!'
Something tells us that if it were possible for the vet to sleep there overnight, they would jump at the opportunity without any question!
Norman the Irresistible
This vet could hardly believe how well her day was going when Norman, the charming bulldog puppy, came in for a visit. This little furball is simply adorable, and surely brought smiles to everyone at the clinic that day. From his precious wrinkled face to his big puppy paws, it must have been impossible for anyone to resist picking him up and capturing a quick photo of his irresistible cuteness.
With such a charming presence, we're sure Norman gets a ton of love and attention everywhere he goes, whether he really wants it or not!
One of the (many) Benefits of Being a Vet
Veterinary work is a serious matter, but sometimes animal doctors need to just let loose and lay down on the floor to play with their furbaby patients. In the case of this vet, he was so overwhelmed by the cuteness of these kittens that he totally forgot he had a job to do and just embraced the kitty chaos. The look on his face says it all - he's in heaven!
It may take a lot of time and dedication to become a veterinary doctor, but as we can see, there are some serious perks to the job.
Someone Brought in a Street Cat for Neutering... And He Went Home With the Vet
One concerned individual brought this kitty to the vet's, despite it not being their pet. They sought to help address the issue of a growing stray cat population by getting this sweet kitty neutered and, once recovered, returning it to the streets it called home. This cat may not have had an owner, but someone was willing to spend their own money to try and improve the stray cat situation.
We're not surprised that the vet who was put in charge of this cat's care just had to snap a photo of his handsome good looks.
Someone Send Help
They don't call them 'puppy dog eyes' for nothing. We can't decide if this poor pooch is sad about having to be at the vet's office, or if that's just his natural resting face. Whatever the case, it's hard not to want to try and help the situation. The poor thing looks so small and confused, but luckily, he's getting top-notch treatment even if he doesn't realize it. Here's hoping his session didn't last too long!
Even the attentive vet, busy with the task at hand, appears to have been momentarily distracted by this tiny pup's huge, pleading puppy dog eyes.
Everyone's in Shock!
The vet who took this photo captioned it 'Shocked pupper is so shocked,' adding, 'My equally shocked coworker Kate!' It's nice to see that even medically trained professionals can let out their goofy side at work, especially when confronted with such characterful patients. We don't know if this pup was truly very surprised or if it was just scared about being in new and unfamiliar surroundings. Something about his expression has us feeling like he's trying to signal for help.
Considering how the sign right by the sink behind them has the words 'eye wash station' written on it, perhaps this pup has good reason to be alarmed.
Got Your Back
When your animal patient is as fluffy as this Golden Retriever, you'd be forgiven for cuddling up next to him on the floor. This vet knew just how to unwind between appointments by lying down on the floor with his favorite patient. It's hard to say if the dog is as happy with this arrangement as the vet is, but for the most part, it doesn't seem to mind.
We especially love the soft toy snuggled between the dog's arms to aid in the anesthetic recovery. After all, it's the little things that count.
It Can Be Hard to Keep It Professional When Your Patient Is so Good Looking
Sometimes, animals have to wait a long time to be seen by the vet, and just like us, they are made to sit and wait their turn. It can be frustrating for the patient in question, who would much rather be free to roam around or be back at home. From the look of this cat, it's just about had enough of waiting its turn. But it does give this vet technician just enough time to snap a quick photo of the majestic feline.
In fact, this vet technician makes a habit of taking pictures of the furry patients and sending them to her boyfriend. It's all in a day's work.
Bunny or Ball?
We've never seen a rabbit quite as round as this one. This baby bunny was so small and harmless that the vet even let her boyfriend hold him on this occasion. He's so tiny that he comfortably fits in the palm of his hand. However, he does look a bit frightened, as his ears are pinned all the way down. When rabbits have their ears flat across their back, it usually means that they're scared or upset.
Regardless, going to the vet is in the bunny's best interest, so even if he was a little on the anxious side, it was all for a good cause.
A Look That Says "there Will Be Consequences for This"
Some experiences in the clinic are better than others, and in the case of this kitten, he's definitely not happy to be there. The look on his face just about says it all; he'd rather be anywhere else in the world than on the examination table being poked and prodded. It's for his own good that he's being checked by the vet, but it's not his fault that he just doesn't know it.
If this kitten were a bit bigger, he might put up a fight, but seeing as he's so small, he seems to have accepted his fate.
This Cat Was Only the Second Male Calico the Vet Has Seen in Over 5 Decades of Working
Calico cats are famous for their tri-color coat and the fact that they are almost always born female. So when a rare male Calico kitten walked through the doors of this clinic, the experienced vet could hardly believe their luck. It's not surprising that they felt the need to take a photo of the furbaby, considering that less than 1 in 1000 Calico cats in the world are male.
In over 54 years of practice, this was only the second male Calico cat that the vet had ever encountered. A real pinch-me moment!
We Have a Feeling He Hears Everything
In the case of German Shepherd puppies, it can take a while for their ears to stand up straight. For the first few weeks of their life, their ears usually flop down until they're strong enough to stand upright. But in the case of this puppy, his ears are up and alert, and they look too big for his tiny head. We're not surprised the vet felt the need to take a photo of this adorable patient.
Whatever this puppy is hearing, it seems to have captured all of his attention. He seems totally transfixed by what's in front of him.
9-Week Old Maine Coon Kitten Batch
We can definitely see why the vet had to stop for a second and take a photo of this moment. You have to see it to believe it! This animal doctor had the pleasure of giving a routine check-up to these 9-week-old Maine Coon kittens, one of the oldest natural breeds in North America, famous for being gentle giants in the cat world. We wonder what the vet did to keep them so captivated.
These kittens may be only 9 weeks old, but even at this age, they have an impressive lion-like mane. Something tells us they're going to be big when they're fully grown.
A Hearty Hello
This adorable beaver knows just how to charm everyone at the vet's office. She even looks as though she's waving her little paw at the camera and smiling for a photo! While this beaver may seem big, she's actually just a baby, so she still has a considerable amount to grow. Something tell's us that her sweet demeanor will ensure that she'll always be welcome at the vet's clinic.
Considering how social and affectionate beavers are within their family groups, it's not much of a surprise that this one was such a joy to be around.
"I've Got You"
Going to the vet can be stressful for animals, mainly because they have no idea why they're really there. That's why it's necessary, at times, for vets to give the animals they treat a reassuring hug or pet to let them know that they're in a safe space and that everything will be okay. This poor cat looks absolutely terrified, but from the looks of things, she's in very good hands.
You can tell that this kitty is rather uncomfortable because her ears are down and away from her face. It's a sign that she's feeling anxious or scared.
What's so Funny?
People have differing opinions on whether or not dogs can laugh, but the person who took this photo seems convinced that this pit bull is laughing along with her vet sister. We can't say for sure whether they were sharing a chuckle, but what's clear is this pooch is totally in her comfort zone. Despite the bad reputation pit bulls often receive, this photo looks to disprove everyone who believes that they're a dangerous dog breed.
Working at a vet's office sure seems like there's lots of time for fun and games with the adorable animal patients. It's easy to see why someone would choose to pursue a veterinary career.
It's All Fun and Games
The vet in charge of Huxley the cat couldn't help but send this photo to the owner while preparing him for surgery. The hair net he is wearing probably wasn't all that effective, but it sure does bring out the regal feline in him. While we're sure the vet was having fun, Huxley doesn't look all too impressed, perhaps because he knows he's about to go under the knife.
We wonder if sending this photo to the owner made them feel more or less worried about their beloved cat during what must have been a nerve-wrecking time.
Quite a Handful
It must be hard not to love your day job when you're a vet who gets to encounter fluff balls like these. They may be adorable, but he certainly had his hands full trying to hold them all at once. Luckily for him, his pockets came in handy as a kitten-holding alternative. The clinic was probably a little chaotic on that day with so many kittens to look after, but we're sure it's worth it in the end.
It's not uncommon for the same cat litter to contain different fur patterns and colors, so the chances are, these colorful critters are all brothers and sisters.
Cute and She Knows It
It's heartwarming to see that pets of all shapes and sizes are celebrated at the vet clinic. In this image, the vet who posted it affectionately declared this pooch 'plump and proud!' as she was being weighed on the animal-sized scales. Despite putting on a few pounds since her last visit, the dog couldn't look more content with herself. She must have been the cutest little critter to walk through the doors that day.
After all, a slightly plumper figure only makes this pooch all the more fun to cuddle, so it's bound to be a win-win situation for everyone involved.
There Is Strength in Numbers
This vet was totally unprepared for this large litter of Great Dane puppies, which appears to have overwhelmed him to the point of cornering him in the clinic! While these pups aren't exactly an intimidating pack of dogs, containing their energy must have been quite a task. Judging by the vet's face, he's quite happy with how the appointment is going nevertheless. This must have made for a memorable day at work.
With these Great Dane puppies having him cornered against the wall, they're taking the opportunity to shower him with love and lots of puppy kisses. It's certainly a heartwarming sight.
Time for an Afternoon Siesta
If vets aren't sending photos of their furry patients to the owners, they're sending them to their loved ones. One vet's daughter received this heart-melting photo of one of her mother's new patients, a precious labrador puppy. Only, this puppy doesn't seem to feel nervous about paying a visit to the vet. On the contrary, she's fallen asleep on the examination table! Who would have thought that a clinic could be the perfect place for a midday nap?
This puppy is in such a relaxed state of mind, she doesn't even seem to mind the blindingly bright light beaming down on her, or the clinical surroundings.
A Majestic Mane
It's not every day that you see a cat with such a majestic mane. The vet who posted this photo wrote a caption that explained, 'Our vet tech carried him around the office to see the rest of the staff for pets and pictures. He was feeling proud!' Clearly, he felt as though he was the best-looking pet or person in the clinic that day, and we think he has every reason to feel proud.
It's easy to see how this kitty's striking appearance turned heads in the office that day, what with his long coat and sunny fur colour.
So Scary yet so Cute
While wolves can be tamed to some extent, they're not a recommended choice as a house pet. Which is a shame considering how utterly adorable they are when they're puppies. This rescue dog, for example, is so cute, we can't imagine how the vet managed to let him go! We're not surprised that they didn't let this pup leave without getting a quick photo of him as something to remember him by.
It can be hard to imagine how this wolf's ancestry was the inspiration behind so many ferocious tales, considering how harmless and gentle he seems here in the arms of a vet.
Lion Cub Love for Everyone
You don't have to be a vet to enjoy the perks of working with animals. This photo shows a veterinary clinic receptionist holding on to a less common vet patient - a lion cub! Since the cub is at an age where she can't be a serious threat to anyone around her, the vet receptionist was more than capable of giving her some cuddles before she went in for her appointment.
It must be unique moments like these that make working in a vet's office truly exceptional, even for those who don't hold a medical degree.
A Surprise Visitor
It must have been an unforgettable day for everyone at the clinic when this tiger cub came in for a routine check up. He's so tiny, he could be easily mistaken for a house cat if someone wasn't paying close attention. But upon closer inspection, it's clear to see that this is no ordinary feline. Just think, as a full grown Bengal tiger, he will weigh somewhere around 480 lbs!
We imagine that the vet staff must have needed to tread extra carefully around the clinic on this day, as it would have been easy to accidentally step on him.
Kisses From the Doctor
Sometimes the work of a vet takes place outside of the clinic. In the case of this vet technician, she had to make an emergency visit to help this poorly fawn. It was the veterinarian's sister-in-law who took the sweet photo, and she stated, 'This kind of stuff happens to her all the time.' Here's hoping this baby deer didn't have to suffer too much longer after the vet tech arrived.
Despite the challenges, it's heartwarming to know that some medical professionals like her are ready to lend a helping hand to animals in need, wherever they may be.
