Big Streeeeeetch
Anyone who has a pet will know that it's basically illegal to not say "big stretch" every time your animal has a stretch. Those are just the rules, and every pet owner needs to abide by them! We're going to assume that the owner of this long boy did the same - especially as his stretching skills make his whole body look even longer. Yes, even his already huge ears.
This kitty looks pretty proud of his ears, and we don't blame him. They're bigger than his whole face, and while you'd think that would make him look scary, they seem to have the opposite effect.
"He'll Grow Into Them"
You can tell a lot about a dog by his paws. Normally, the bigger its paws, the bigger it'll be in general. But what happens when the paws are tiny but his ears are ginormous? Well, it seems as though this little doggo is an enigma. And while all of the people around him keep saying that he'll grow into his ears, we have our doubts because of those teeny-tiny paws!
If his body stays that small and his ears stay that big, this dog will be one of the cutest things we've ever seen. And there are a lot of cute dogs on this list.
Just a Few Subwoofers
We really hope these dogs are in a band, because this should definitely be their album cover! Let's just hope that these sausages don't get too jealous when Harlow takes center stage, though, because every lead singer needs their subwoofers - and it seems as though the sausages and their big ears are perfect for the job. Just look at those things! They even put Harlow's big ears to shame.
Unfortunately, we do get the impression there is a little bit of tension in this doggy band. if the sausages are that willing to turn their backs on Harlow, we're not sure it's built to last...
Say Hello to Jane
There are so many amazing animals on this list, and while many of them live in houses across the world, you'll have to visit the Kansas City Zoo if you want to meet lovely Jane. Yes, we'd like to introduce you to Jane the bat-eared fox and ask you whether you've ever seen anything so cute?! These foxes have teeny-tiny bodies, but their giant ears can grow to well over 5 inches tall.
Technically, these big ears are designed to shed heat and keep the fox cool in the hot savannahs, but we have a sneaking suspicion that Jane here uses her ears to get extra treats from her handlers.
Is It Real?
You know when young kids draw a picture of a bunny with long ears? Well, it seems as though one of those drawings has come to life - because this little thing just doesn't look real! However, we have it on good authority that this 3-month-old lop-eared bunny is indeed a living and breathing animal. And we can't help but think that it should be called a flop-eared bunny instead.
Those ears are sickeningly cute, but we do wonder about the center of gravity of this little guy. Surely those big ears will cause him to topple over every time he tries to move?
Adam Drive-Purr
Is anyone else seeing Adam Driver in cat form? Yes, this cat looks just like the actor we all know and love - and now we can't decide whether we love Adam or this cat more! One thing we do know is that this is one of the most intriguing pets we've ever seen. Not only is this cat's ears ridiculously big, but his legs are just as long. We guess he's just a very long boy.
With legs that long, we'd love to see how big this cat is when it's standing up. Of course, we can wait until he's stopped staring into our soul for him to do that.
Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na, Bat!
You've heard of Batman, but have you heard of the earresistible long-eared bat? We probably don't need to tell you why this animal has been given such a name, as those ears are truly something special. In fact, their ears are normally just as long as their bodies! But while their giant ears let them hear everything going on nearby, they're actually some of the slowest flyers in the bat family.
We doubt this bat minds too much, though. Why would you want to fly around the place when you could keep track of the local gossip? No conversation is safe with this guy around.
Feeling Foxy
Although fennec foxes are meant to live out in the wild, there are some people who have chosen to domesticate them. And while this trade has been criticized over the years, there's no doubt about the fact that this foxy guy looks like the ultimate snuggle buddy. Not only is he wrapped up in all of the blankets his owners have around the house, but his ears also pitch the perfect snuggle tent!
Yes, those ears are so long they're keeping the blanket well away from its face. So, let's hope his face doesn't get too cold when the temperatures start to drop.
Cat or Bat?
The English language can be pretty complicated. There are so many words that are spelt the same but have two totally different meanings, and then there are so many words that have just a letter different. We can only assume that this woman got a little confused when she introduced her new cat to the internet - as this is clearly a very furry bat rather than a cat, right?
Those ears are truly something special, especially with the light shining behind them. But we guess this cat just has huge features, as those eyes are piercing right into our soul, too.
A Little Troublemaker
If you have a pet, you'll know that there's nothing cuter than sharing pictures of your animal on social media. But while most people gush about their pets in these posts, the owner of this long-eared bunny wasn't quite as complimentary. This person wrote, 'Say hello to Bengie. Bengie loves digging in anything and peeing in the bed.' But how could they be mad at Bengie when he looks like that?
We'd happily wash our sheets every day if it meant that we could cuddle with this little snuggle bunny every night, and we bet those ears would be the perfect wake-up call!
Floppy Side-Eye
Ralphie is so done with people talking about his big ears, and that floppy side-eye proves that he just doesn't want to hear about them anymore. But in our defence, we're talking about them miles away from where he is! We guess his hearing is just that good - and what more would you expect from a dog that has such giant ears? We bet he loves the attention, really.
Although it seems as though Ralphie has grown into his ears now, we bet there was once a time when he was a puppy that he was tripping over them. And we would have loved to have seen that.
All the Better
Puppies are always cute, but one of the things that makes them cuter is their giant ears. Of course, usually, they grow into these ears, and they become proportionate to their fluffy bodies - but sometimes, there's a glitch in the matrix, and that doesn't happen! We can only assume that's what happened here, and we bet this dog put a stop to his ear-growing process for a very important reason.
What's the benefit of bigger ears, we hear you ask? They're all the better to hear "good boy" with! And we all know that the words "good boy" are always finished with a treato.
What a Trio
We've already seen some fennec foxes on this list, but have you ever seen three adorable fennec foxes huddling together and catching up on the gossip of the day? No, we thought not. These guys have such big ears that we bet they couldn't get any closer to each other if they tried. They'd probably get their ears all jumbled together if that happened, and wouldn't be able to pull them apart again!
What we love about this adorable animal photo is that it seems as though these foxes know just how cute they are. And they look pretty smug about that fact, too.
Ready for Takeoff
There are so many adorable cats out there, but this is undoubtedly one of the most stunning cats we've ever seen. In fact, she could be a cat supermodel! From the grey two-tone fur to the piercing eyes and the big whiskers, this cat really is something special. But then you move upwards and get to the ears. And then you realize that it's top tier of the cat world.
Although we love this cat's big and fluffy ears, there's something about its tail that is sending us over the edge. The colours! The fluff! The slight curl! It's too cute for words!
Dobby Is a Free Cat
Fans of the Harry Potter franchise will know that magic doesn't always go to plan. Sometimes, spells can go wrong, and potions can be compromised with the wrong ingredients. And we can only assume that something similar happened here. Yes, some amateur student at Hogwarts obviously tried to turn a House Elf into a cat and somehow messed up in the process to create a House-Cat unlike anything you've ever seen before!
With its big ears, its grumpy disposition, and the fact that it looks as though it's crossed its paws, this cat certainly makes an impression. And we don't think we've ever seen anything quite like it before.
Maybe It's Moobelline!
Sure, cows can actually be pretty dangerous and do have the power and weight in them to crush you - but that's just because they don't quite know their own weight or size. And if you were to look at a cow safely behind a fence, you'd realize just how stunning these animals are! Don't believe us? Just look at this moo cow! While its eyelashes are dazzling and its wet nose is adorable, the ears are sending us over the edge.
According to the person who posted this photo online, this cow's ears were the softest things they had ever felt - and that just makes them even cuter than they already were.
Ears Out, Look Sharp
Let's be honest; we've rarely thought about the ears of a cow before. But that's probably because most cows don't have the kind of ears that make us remember them. They're just normal body parts that look perfectly in place, most of the time. But every so often some cows come along that stop us in our tracks, and these cows have certainly done that. After all, just look at those ears!
We don't know what we love more; the fact that these two have matching ears, the fact that they're so big, or the fact that they look so soft and smooth. Maybe we'll cheat and choose all of them?
Did Someone Say "Carrot? "
There's nothing more wholesome than adding a pet into your life. And while many people around the world choose to add dogs and cats to their families, there are some who go rogue and welcome rabbits instead. But if you were on the fence about getting a bunny, take this as your sign to get one! These animals are absolutely adorable - and you might even strike gold and get one like this with giant ears.
Be warned that you'll have an even bigger carrot thief on your hands with this type of bunny around, though. With ears as big as that, it'll be able to hear the word "carrot" from a mile away!
Look at the Toes!
The general rule of thumb is that if your puppy has big paws, it's going to be a big dog. But what does it mean when your puppy has big toes and big ears? Well, if those ears and feet are anything to go by, we can only assume that this puppy is going to grow up into a giant! Probably a very adorable and cute giant at that, too.
Whether this dog's ears will look more proportionate to its body or whether they'll keep growing still remains to be seen, but right now those ears are making us squeal with cuteness.
The Sweetest Face
If you're a home bird, you'll know that there's nothing better than being at home with your belongings, your couch, and the comforting smell of your house. But if there was anything that was going to tempt you out of the front door, it'd probably be this dog with giant ears! After all, seeing a dog as you're going about your business is sure to put a smile on your face - especially when it has ears like this.
If we saw this pupper out in the wild, we'd be on a dog high for the next two weeks. We probably still wouldn't be as high as those ears are, though.
A Rare Diagnosis
If you've ever had a pet, you'll know how important it is to get them checked out at the vet - especially when they're young and you've just brought them home. So, this family did the right thing by taking their new puppy for a checkup. And while they could see that their new pup had big ears, they probably weren't expecting their vet to tell them that their dog's ears were "abnormally large."
We hope that the puppy didn't listen to such horrible comments! His ears are absolutely perfect and the cutest things we've ever seen in our lives. We won't stand to hear otherwise.
Peekaboo
There are many people out there who dedicate their lives to helping abandoned or injured animals, and we have to give a round of applause to these people. After all, it's tiring and heartwrenching work - but they stick with it for the sake of the animals. That's exactly how this person ended up with a brown long-eared rescue bat in their living room - and just look at those huge ears!
We love everything about this bat and its ears, but what we love most is the fact that it actually looks as though he has ears inside of his ears! And when you see them, you won't be able to un-see them.
What a Sweet Face
We've already seen a few of these cats on this list, but they don't get any less cute. In fact, we think we're falling more and more in love with these Adam Driver cats the more we look at them. And what we love most about them is the fact that they'd look like fairly average cats if they didn't have those big ears. But most of the time the ears don't look as though they're attached to their face.
With this cat, it looks as though he's wearing a Halloween headband that has giant ears attached to it. And it would be pretty funny if he simply took off the headband at the end of the day.
What a Sweetheart
Taking your puppy to the vet is a whole process. Some puppies absolutely love the vets and the attention they get from all of the people around them, while other puppies are absolutely terrified. From the look on this puppy's face, we're going to go ahead and assume that she's the latter because she looks fairly scared to be sitting on the table. If anything, though, that makes her loo even cuter.
From this angle, you can see the true extent of her big ears - and they're definitely puppy ears! It'll seem as though they get smaller as she gets bigger, so let's hope her owners appreciate them while they're still so big.
Can You Hear That?
Many animals are extremely loyal to their owners, and while the jury is still out on whether fennec foxes should have owners at all, there's no doubt about the fact that this fennec fox looks pretty comfortable with its new home. In fact, its taking its loyalty to the extreme by turning into a guard fox - and he's keeping track of all the comings and goings of the building.
It's not just relying on his eyes, though. With those big ears, we have no doubts that he'll be able to hear the faintest footsteps of an intruder, just in case.
What You Looking at?
Sure, this donkey looks absolutely adorable with his huge ears and its soft fur, but just look at those eyes! We have a feeling that you don't want to get on the wrong side of this donkey. Those eyes look as though its plotting our revenge, and it's safe to say that we feel a little scared right now. But we can't be fully terrified when its big ears are staring at us like that.
Not only are these giant ears fluffy on the outside, but they're fluffy on the inside, too! And while we definitely wouldn't ever do this, we'd love to touch them just once.
Norman And His Ears
Did you know that there are over 300 species of domesticated rabbits? One of them is the Continental Giant, which is the same breed as Norman here! You probably don't need us to tell you why rabbits like Norman are given such a name, though. One look at those ears and that body and that will tell you everything you need to know about why this rabbit breed has the word "giant" in it.
And while we bet Norman is absolutely huge in person, there's still a big part of us that wants to pick him up in our arms and give him a good snuggle.
Surprise!
When dogs are puppies, their pawrents always tell them that they're going to grow into their ears. And while this is the case most of the time, sometimes this doesn't happen. Don't believe us? Just look at this guy. Although his mom thought he would grow into his ears, it seems as though his ears just kept growing with his body. Now, she thinks his big ears give him character!
We have to agree, as well. With ears like that, his surprised face looks even more surprised, and his confused face looks even more confused! Of course, both faces are equally as adorable.
Just Chilling
Although we all know the character of Tigger from the Winnie the Pooh franchise, we never thought he was real. But this photo is making us question everything. Is this the real Tigger? With those colourings, those markings, and the general air of Tigger-ishness, we wouldn't be surprised if this cat had simply stepped out of the pages of a Winnie the Pooh book. And just look how cute and content he is!
What we love most about this cat is the fact that its ears seem to droop with its body. Afer all, he's super chill! So we guess his ears need to be chilled out, too.
Cow or Goat?
Have you ever seen a cow quite like this one before? No, we haven't either. In fact, this cow seems to look more like a goat than a cow - so we can only assume that it's a gow! And you can't blame us for being a little confused. Not only does this cow have giant ears, but the ears seem incredibly low on its head. And that droopiness is very cow-like.
This cow looks as though a cow and a goat had a baby and created something absolutely adorable, and we're not mad about it. Our brains just need a little while to understand what's going on.
A Slice of Meatloaf
Hands up if you love meatloaf? Of course, we wouldn't blame you if you had your hands in the air and you were waving them like you just don't care, because the food is absolutely delicious. But in this instance, we're talking about this dog, which is called Meatloaf! And just moments before this photo was taken, Meatlof's owners spotted that his ears were sticking up for the very first time.
You know how excited parents get when their babies walk for the first time? Well, that's how excited dog parents get when their pooch's ears stick up for the first time.
Meet and Greet
There are many zoos and animal sanctuaries out there that work hard to give animals a loving home, and many even offer visitors the chance to meet and greet these animals in their enclosures. That's how this person managed to take a photo of this adorable bat-eared fox - and we're surprised they managed to get the whole animal into the shot with those giant ears taking up so much space!
Someone in the comments section of this photo said, 'It looks like an overfed chihuahua with big ears,' and we have to say that we agree. In a good way, though!
What Do You Want?
This dog doesn't look too impressed by the fact that he's been woken up from his nap by a human wanting to take his picture for the 100th time that day, but can you blame them? This is one of the cutest pooches we've ever seen, and the fact that his ears are absolutely giant and sticking up on their own is something you don't see every day. His ears are so derpy!
We just know that this dog rules the roost and has his owners wrapped around his little paw. And, honestly, good for him! That's the way it should always be.
Why So Sirius?
Sirius, meet everyone. Everyone, meet Sirius! And while we do have to question why someone would have such a wild and exotic cat as a pet, there's no doubt about the fact that this cat does look very tame. In fact, kudos to the owner for being able to put this wild cat into a harness! It must have been doubly hard to do with such big ears in the way.
As well as being utterly stunning, the beautiful eyes and ears of this cat really make it stand out from the crowd. However, we don't think we'd want to be in a crowd with this guy.
Smile for the Camera
Pets fall into two categories. There are the pets that seem to love posing for the camera and having their pictures taken, and then there are others who will do anything to get away from the camera and have never had a good picture taken in their lives. As you can probably tell, this fenne fox isn't part of the latter category! This guy is working the camera, and loving every minute of it.
He probably knows that his ears are something special, and he doesn't want the world to miss out on the chance to see and experience them with their own eyes.
Let's Get to Work
Have you ever seen a business dog before? Most dogs are happy to spend the day lounging around the house, chasing after squirrels, or watching tennis on the TV - but since this guy's big ears stood up for the first time, he's obviously realized that it's time to become the man of the house. So, he's donned his tie, and he's ready to get to work and bring home the bacon.
We'd love to see this little guy typing away on a keyboard with his paws, but we'll leave him to get on with it. He's got bills to pay, after all.
Time for a Bath
There are many pets on this list, but this photo was taken by a nature lover while they were walking at Alamo Lake. And when they spotted this jackrabbit, they knew they had to snap a picture of it! After all, those ears are something else - but you don't see these animals cleaning their ears every day. But we guess jackrabbits need a bath every so often, too. Especially when their ears are that big.
The fact that these rabbits can pull their ears all the way down over their faces and almost to their toes is extraordinary behavior, and there's something so adorable about it.
No Paps, Please
Many of the adorable big-eared animals on this list don't seem to mind having their photos taken, but it seems as though the animals in this house are a little different. Sure, the black cat doesn't seem to care too much about his mom bringing attention to his giant ears, but the white cat isn't having any of it. Not only does he look pretty mad about the whole situation, but he's even balled his paw up into a little fist!
Let's hope his mom put the camera away before she was covered in scratches, because we all know that cats don't hold back when it comes to sharing their emotions with the world.
Work It, Doris
It would be rude not to introduce you to Doris, which is why we'd like you to say hello to this wonderful papillon. And while this dog breed is known for having large fluffy ears, it seems as though Doris takes the dog biscuit when it comes to her big ears. They're so big it looks as though she's wearing a hat, and we get the impression that she knows how fabulous she looks.
She even let her mom make a modeling portfolio for her because she knows her ears really are one of a kind. We bet she's going to get booked up so quickly!
Happy Cuddles
Although caracals are wild cats that don't usually make good pet, it seems as though this woman has got a good thing going with her cat. They both look so comfortable with each other, and those happy cuddles look so soft and warm! But can we all take a moment to appreciate this guy's ears? A caracal's ears work like satellite dishes to pick up sounds within the vicinity, and they're super cute.
They even have little tufts of hair on top, which are said to enhance the communication between fellow caracals! Who knew something could be so adorable and so handy at the same time?
