Purrrrrrrre Love
There are two kinds of people in this world; there are cat people, and then there are dog people. But even if you're a dog person, you can't deny that this is one of the cutest things of all time, can you? Sure, cats are often torn down for their stubbornness and their independence, but this photo proves that even cats need a little bit of love every now and then.
After all, who can go wrong with a snuggle nap? These cats probably started fighting as soon as they woke up, but you've got to take the peace when you can get it as a pet parent.
Don't Disturb the Cats
If you've ever needed the encouragement to stick to your diet, then this has got to be it. It would be rude to interrupt these sleeping kitties to get yourself an ice cream, wouldn't it?! Especially as they made their way off the hot streets to cool down. The poor little things just needed a cold place to rest their weary heads, and it seems as though they were pretty happy with this freezer spot.
We love the fact that the store owner allows the kittens to take a break from the heat in their store. We guess there are some nice humans in the world!
What a Lovely Neck Pillow
If you work from home and have a pet, you'll know that it can be a challenge. With their humans by their side all day, these animals can crave human affection and attention - and it looks as though this cat is one of those animals. As soon as their owner logged onto their computer, they knew that it was their cue to morph themselves into the best neck pillow the world has ever seen.
Although this napping position doesn't exactly look very comfortable for the cat, we bet this guy's neck is nice and warm. It might ache at the end of the day, though.
Foxy and Fluffy
Okay, we know that foxes aren't pets and it's probably irresponsible to bring one inside the house. But sometimes these animals need to take a break from being in the wild to enjoy some home comforts - and the people in this house got to enjoy this wondrous sight as a result. Yes, this fox seemed to find the perfect napping spot on top of this skylight, and it's fair to say that it looks pretty comfortable.
Foxes might get a bad rap in the wild, but does this look like a wild animal to you? Just look at the fluff! And look at its adorable little teefies!
A Boy and His Cow
Can we all agree that cows are just like giant dogs? When these guys get the chance to frolic in the wild, they have a ball of a time, and they're so loving. And if you don't believe us, just look at this adorable photo of a cow napping with its favorite human. It even looks like the cow is protecting its human, and making the sleeping position even more comfortable for him.
What we love the most about this photo is that this kid obviously felt confident enough to nap next to his cow, and that's absolutely beautiful. They're such amazing creatures.
Comfortable There, Friend?
If you've never seen a baby snow owl sleeping before... you're welcome! No, this owl hasn't face-planted its bed after a long night at the club. This is just how baby snow owls sleep when they're young, as their beaks are too heavy for them to hold themselves up on their own. And if that's not the funniest yet most adorable thing you've ever seen, then we don't know what is.
And while this napping position is super cute, can we all just take a moment to appreciate this owl's legs? We had no idea an owl's legs were so long!
Thinking About the Gym
Let's be honest; most of us can probably relate to this napping hamster on a deep and personal level. Especially when it comes to the gym. Sure, we know that we should go to the gym (or ride on the hamster wheel), but why would we do that when we could have a nap instead? This adorable pet knows exactly what's up, and we don't blame it for choosing to nap over exercising.
We've all had days like this hamster, right? When you want the wheel to just stop turning so you can catch up on your snoozing. We've got your back, hamster.
The Perfect Sleeping Stump
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the cuteness of this fox napping on the perfect sleeping stump? This photo was taken in someone's parent's backyard, and we just have one question... why can't anything like this ever happen in our backyard? We would do anything to spot a fox doing something so adorable in the wild. Just look at how it's curled up on itself into the perfect sleeping position!
We hope this person's parents realize how lucky they are to have such a view out of their window. Most of us only get a view into our neighbors' apartments.
Hanging Over the Edge
Many people assume that there's a huge divide between humans and animals, but how do you explain this? These pets have to be a couple, and we're pretty confident that the one hanging off the edge is a man. After all, that's how it works in human relationships, doesn't it? Despite the fact that the male pet needs to pee and has a tingly arm, he's never going to move. His wife is too content and comfortable!
It's nice to know that the same napping rules apply in the animal world, at least. Even if the male pet isn't going to have as good of a nap as his wife.
A Pile of Cuteness
What would you do if you were walking through the park and stumbled across this adorable pile of cuteness? There's a high chance that we would simply burst into tears as soon as we saw these napping kittens, but there would be another part of us that would want to slide right into the middle of this pile - without disturbing them, of course. After all, this looks like the most comfortable sleeping spot.
We can't help but wonder why these cats specifically chose this bench for their nap. But whatever the reason, we're so glad they've found somewhere safe and comfortable for them to sleep.
An Inseparable Pair
If you've ever adopted an animal before, you'll know that it's not as simple as going to the shelter and taking your pick. Shelters need to make sure that you're the right home for each specific pet, and that the pet is the right animal for you. And when it came to these two cats, whoever adopted them needed to know that they came as a pair. Nope, no exceptions!
The people who adopted it soon realized why these two needed to go home together. Just look at them! Apparently, they sleep cuddled up to each other like this every single night.
Mount Ever Rest
We know this cat's owner meant well when they bought this extravagant cat tree for them, but did they not realize that this would be way too much exercise for their kitty in one day?! It seems as though this cat just couldn't quite make it to the top of this tree, so it decided to take a nap in its little den to catch its breath and rest up before the big ascent.
Apparently, it was so tired it didn't even have the energy to pull its legs up! But we guess this cat needed it. Being a cat climber isn't as easy as it looks, you know.
Total Relaxation
We don't think we've ever been as comfortable or as relaxed as this kitten looks, and for that reason, we've never been more jealous of a cat in our lives. Sure, we know that pets get pampered, but Chata the Munchkin cat looks as though it's pampered to a whole new level. In fact, this little thing is so chilled out that it doesn't even bother rolling onto its front or curling up into a ball.
Of course, Chata could simply be pretending to "play dead" to avoid having a bath, but we're going to assume that's not the case! Chata seems like the perfect kitten.
A Moose Loose in the Hoose
Hands up if you've ever seen a sleeping moose before? No, we haven't, either. Although we've seen these animals in the wild, we've never seen one up close - or so chilled out! But we guess this moose felt so comfortable in this garden that they decided it was safe to settle down and have a nap. And we don't blame it. That garden looks like the perfect little oasis.
This was probably a shock for the owners of this garden, but let's hope that they simply took this photo and left the moose alone. You should never wake a sleeping moose, right?
Window Watching
If you're a curtain twitcher who loves to know what's going on outside your window, you'd probably love to find yourself in this situation! That's because these sleeping squirrels have made themselves a nest on the window ledge, and the person who lives here gets to see them napping like this on a daily basis. And while we're not sure what we imagined when we thought of sleeping squirrels, it certainly wasn't this.
These three squirrels look so precious, and they've certainly made themselves at home. But if you ask us, nothing will ever be as cute as that one squirrel with its arm over its buddy.
The Childhood Toy
Many people around the world struggle to sleep without their childhood blanket or toy next to them, and it seems as though the same notion applies in the wild. This 19-year-old cat has slept with its childhood toy since it was a kitten, and now it can't sleep without cuddling up to it and snuggling all night long. How cute is that?! You can see from its face that this cat loves its toy.
Notoriously, cats and dogs don't get on at all - which is why this dog toy must be extra special to this cat. Especially during its older and more senior years.
A Quacking Nap
Raising birds can come with its challenges, especially if the mother rejects the young. That's exactly what happened to this little duckling, but it's safe to say that this worked out in this person's favor. That's because the duckling ultimately imprinted on the human instead, and wouldn't let them out of their sight! And after a long day of playing in the grass, this duckling decided their human was the perfect nap spot, too.
If we had a duckling fall asleep in our hand, we don't think we'd ever be able to get over it. It would be the cutest thing to ever happen to us.
Sweet Dreams
It's pretty clear to see that this kitty is having a pretty awesome dream. And while we don't know whether it's dreaming about catnip or chasing mice, we do know that it looks pretty content. Especially as this pet is having a comfortable nap in between the legs of its favorite human! To be honest, life couldn't be much better for this Yoda-looking kitty. It really has nailed this whole life thing.
And we don't blame their human for snapping this adorable photo of their napping cat. This photo deserves pride of place in the Louvre if you ask us. It's a masterpiece.
Spine Not Included
When buying your IKEA dog, it's important to read what's included in the box. Sure, four adorable paws and a boop-able nose come as standard, but some boxes don't include a spine! And it seems as though this dog owner didn't read the back of the box when they bought this cutie. But we guess this pet doesn't seem to mind. In fact, it looks weirdly comfortable, considering how uncomfortable this seems.
This pooch really is one of the most flexible we've ever seen. And it also looks quite dramatic, with its paw draped over its forehead in what looks like a shock! Maybe the nap was just that good.
The Self-Soother
All of us have our own unique tricks and techniques to get off to sleep. Some people listen to whale sounds, other people use weighted blankets, and some even cuddle their childhood blanket. But this adorable puppy does things a little differently. Yes, it holds its own paws when it sleeps! This is the ultimate self-soothing exercise, and apparently, this puppy has done this ever since he found his forever home.
It's important to keep the toe beans safe when you're sleeping, so we don't really blame this cutie for holding onto its feet. It doesn't want the human to steal them, after all.
Love Is Messy
When people buy or adopt their pets, many of them assure themselves that they won't let their pets sleep in the bed with them. But a large majority of them go against their own advice almost instantly - because there's nothing better than sharing your bed with your pet, is there? It's hard to say no to these cute little creatures, and it seems as though this cat owner was in the same boat.
In fact, it looks as though this cat has been taking some pointers from its human in terms of its sleeping positions. Both of them look uncomfortable, but also so comfortable at the same time.
An Emotional Support Cat
Ladies and gentlemen, meet Nugget the sausage dog and its emotional support cat! Although cats and dogs famously don't gel well together, sometimes there are exceptions to that rule. And apparently, Nugget insists on cuddling with its emotional support cat when this cutie has a nap! You can see from Nugget's face just how much it enjoys snuggling up to its soft and fluffy friend during their all-important nap time.
Of course, we don't know how the cat feels about this arrangement. But anyone and anything would be happy to sleep next to a cute sausage dog, wouldn't they? Yes, we thought so.
Hedgehog or Potato?
Although most people assume that hedgehogs can be found in the wild, some people do keep hedgehogs as pets. And we guess this hedgehog has gotten pretty used to domestic life, as it's claimed this giant double bed as its own. Who cares about sticks and underground dens when you can have 1500 thread count sheets, anyway? This hedgehog is living the high life, and it won't take anything less.
However, we actually had no idea this was a napping hedgehog, to begin with. It looks more like a potato with legs. But, if anything, that just makes the whole picture even more adorable.
All Tucked in
Pitbulls have a bad rap in the dog world. Many people assume them to be aggressive and violent, and many of them are often abandoned and given to shelters because of that. But next time the thought of violent pitbulls enters your mind, think about this adorable photo! This photo proves that these guys are sensitive souls at heart, and love nothing more than a nap with the ones that they love.
This pitty's puppy wanted nothing more than to tuck itself into his mom's body, and it seems as though mom wants to do everything to protect its pup at all costs too. It's just too cute.
The Hot Feet Solution
Does anyone else get extremely hot feet in bed? If you're one of those people, there's a high chance that you simply stick your feet outside of the covers and put on a fan to cool them down. So, what's the difference between what you do and what this adorable animal is doing? This kitty obviously suffers from hot feet, too. So, they stick them out of their bowl house to cool them down.
If you ask us, this cat is pretty smart. They had a problem, and they solved it! Sure, they might look a little strange, but you have to trust the process.
Sleeping in the Succulent
Everyone has their own perfect napping spot. For you, it might be on the couch in front of a roaring fire. For others, it might be in their school's library. But for this guy, it seems as though they've found their perfect napping spot in their very own succulent. Yes, this leopard gecko seems to be pretty comfortable amongst the leaves of the succulent, and the smile on its face says it all.
We don't know how this gecko managed to get into such a position, but you've got to commend it for finding the perfect spot amongst all of those leaves. That takes a lot of work.
Bird Watching Is Tiring
It's a hard life being a cat, isn't it? From exploring the wild outdoors to watching birds from the window, these guys have got a lot going on. And Eddie the cat certainly feels the strain! After a long, hard day of watching the birds from the window, he just couldn't keep his eyes open. And with that smile on his face, we can only assume that he's dreaming about catching them!
Eddie just looks so content in his napping spot, especially as he's got a little bit of sun shining on his face. He looks like such a sophisticated gentleman like this!
All Good in the Hood
Anyone who has a cat will know that they're pretty hot and cold. Some cats do everything they can to avoid interacting with their humans and stay out in the wild until it's dinner time, and other cats would stick themselves to their owners if they had a chance. We're going to go ahead and assume that this cat in the hood is part of the latter category. It wanted to be as close as possible!
And we've got to hand it to this kitty; this hood does look pretty comfortable. It's the perfect size for it, but is still close to its owner that it can share body warmth.
A Kitten Hammock
Do you have some spare face masks hanging around? Well, these things could make the perfect napping spot for the small kitties of the world. Especially if you're trying to get some work done! When this owner needed to finish their work without their kitten climbing all over it, they fashioned this impressive kitten hammock. And we have to say that this looks incredibly comfortable. And it's the perfect size.
Although this is a great idea, we'd probably struggle to get work done if this adorable specimen was napping next to us. We'd want to stare at it for hours on end.
Wanted: Four More Cats
Although cats are solitary animals by nature, every so often cat conferences take place - and this involves a lot of group napping. That's what's going on here, right? These cats found the perfect steps to have their meeting, but they also wanted to be conscious of the humans around them. They wanted to claim the steps as their own, but they didn't want to take up all the space.
However, we're going to assume that these cats are missing four other conference attendees. After all, there are four spare steps ready and waiting to become the perfect cat-napping spot!
Cat and Mouse
If you add a pet into your life, you should be prepared to let them take over every single aspect of your existence. They'll take up the most space in your bed, they'll try and steal your food, and they'll want to be involved every step of the way - even when you're trying to work on your laptop. And it seems as though this little kitten wanted to play a game of cat and mouse on this day.
Obviously, trying to get your owner's attention when their working is a tiring business, as this little cutie fell asleep while on the job! As it should be, of course.
Unplugging for the Day
The owner of this cat posted this photo on the internet and stated that their cat has the weirdest sleeping positions. But what should they expect when the cat has been unplugged for the day?! We don't know how they expect their cat to charge when the plug fell out of it, and that's probably why it's found the weirdest napping spot in the house. But don't worry; we can see where it plugs in.
Okay, we don't really think this cat should be plugged in. But you can't deny that this photo is made so much funnier and cuter with this cable in the shot.
A Melted Doggo
Is there anything cuter than a dog's tongue? No, we thought not. Because of this, we really don't blame this dog's owner for taking this photo of their sleeping dog. The dog probably doesn't appreciate being photographed while they're sleeping, but what else are they supposed to do when faced with such cuteness? It would have been a crime not to snap this adorable tongue moment on camera for the world to see.
Considering this dog had a nap like this, we can only assume that it's had a big day chasing squirrels and playing at the dog park. The tongue is a tell-tale sign of a good day.
Adopt, Don't Shop
There are so many pets looking for forever homes in shelters across the globe, which is why it's always a good idea to adopt and not shop if you're able to. And that's exactly what this woman did. But adopting a rescue dog wasn't easy. Apparently, this dog was terrified of the world and scared of everyone when they bought it home. But within a month, that had all changed!
Is it just us or does it look like this dog has a smile on its face? We're not surprised, considering it's been given the love and attention it truly deserves. And it's been allowed to nap on the couch!
Real-Life Disney Princess
If you're familiar with the story of Snow White, you'll know that all of the animals in the wild are attracted to her. And while this rarely happens in real life, we can't help but think that this woman might be a real-life Disney princess. How else do you explain this bird that came to perch on her head? It seems as though this bird thought her hair would be the perfect napping spot, and it looks pretty content.
Although we can't see this woman's whole face, it looks as though she has a big smile on her face, too! So, we guess this is a match made in the fairytale napping heaven.
A Happy, Healthy Cat
Anyone who has a pet will know that these animals truly become family members. That's why it's such a worry when they are injured or become ill - and the owner of this cat understands that better than most. When their cat Kaia got injured in a car accident, she suffered from serious stomach trouble. And the only way that Kaia could get to sleep was by sleeping on her back in a starfish position!
Although she's now recovered from the accident, it seems as though Kaia now refuses to nap any other way. We guess some things you can't grow out of, especially if it's super comfortable.
Synchronized Sleeping
Sometimes, puppies are just as bad as normal babies. They're full of chaotic energy, they're constantly in need of something, and they're extremely hard work. That's why anyone who has had multiple puppies in their house will know just how amazing it is when they can all sleep at the same time - just like babies! So, we bet this mama enjoyed the peace and quiet that came with this synchronized sleeping during puppy nap time.
Although we bet these puppies all have their own unique personalities, there's no doubt about the fact that it looks as though this mama simply copied and pasted one of her puppies to make six of them. Even their markings are the same!
A Circle of Perfection
If you planned on turning your yard into a gardener's paradise, you might want to think twice if you have cats in the house. Sure, you could use your flower pots to plant flowers - but why would you do that when you could offer your cats the perfect napping spot, instead? This owner obviously got that memo, which is why they left their flowerpot free for their furry friends. And they seem to be enjoying it.
These cats are the perfect example of what happens when a cat puts their mind to something. It might not look as though two cats could fit in this pot, but they were going to make it happen!
A Real-Life God
The ancient Egyptians didn't worship cats for nothing, you know. They essentially believed that cats were good luck charms and that their magical powers would bring good luck to anyone who took care of them. And the more we look at this comparison, the more we realize that we need to give cats more credit. Although they knock over your plant pots and scream in the middle of the night, they're pretty godly, aren't they?
Well, this cat certainly is. And if this pose is anything to go by, this cat is one of the most important figures in history. While we always thought God created man, maybe it was this cat instead.
Dog's Best Friend
They say that dogs are man's best friend, but have you ever wondered whether the feeling is mutual? Unfortunately, it seems as though it isn't. Not for this dog, anyway. They're very confident about the fact that their best friend is their toy elephant, and they won't let anyone take the elephant away from it. That's why this dog sleeps with it every night! God forbid a human took it away to clean it.
Judging by the smile on this dog's face, it's pretty happy with its life with its best friend by its side. And elephant doesn't look too upset about that fact, either.
